In 1984 at aged 10 Kath moved with the whole family to Byrd Close. The 1st event to happen there was her sister Hayley was born. This is when Kath became very good friends with Sophie Berg (Williams), and proved to be forever friends. She also got to know the Woods family very well as the older girls used to babysit for her. Kath spent most of her time Leapfrogging over the bollards out the front of the house, doing cartwheels and handstands in Sophie’s front garden, Playing marbles on the drains and playing bulldog with the other kids in the street.
